C13 vs C19
C13 is an IEC 60320 coupler rated 10 A at 250 V. C19 is the larger IEC 60320 coupler rated 16 A at 250 V.
C13 and C19 are IEC 60320 power couplers, the outlet styles on rack PDUs and the connector ends of power cords. A C13 outlet takes a C14 plug, and a C19 outlet takes a C20 plug. A combination C13/C19 outlet accepts either cord.
Vertiv's Geist PDU guide rates the IEC 60320 C13 at 250 VAC and 10 A, with a UL and CSA rating of 12 A, and the C19 at 250 VAC and 16 A. Vertiv calls C13 and C19 the most common rack PDU outlet standards. The NVIDIA DGX H100 has six 3,300 W supplies rated 200 to 240 V at 16 A, fed by C19 to C20 locking cords. The DGX B300 lists twelve power inlets at 16 A maximum per outlet, on the same C19/C20 cord type.
Count outlets by current, not connector style. A C13 outlet suits a supply drawing up to 10 A. A 3,300 W supply on 200 to 240 V draws well past that, so it needs a C19 outlet and cord.
