NVIDIA-Certified Systems
NVIDIA-Certified Systems is NVIDIA's program that tests partner servers, workstations and edge systems with specific GPUs and network adapters.
NVIDIA-Certified Systems is an NVIDIA program that tests partner servers, workstations, and edge systems with specific NVIDIA GPUs and network adapters, then lists the configurations that pass. Each system runs functional, security, and performance tests, including single-GPU, multi-GPU, and multi-node runs. Server testing also covers remote management and Trusted Platform Module security. NVIDIA lists more than 400 certified systems, in categories that include data center servers, workstations, mobile workstations, and edge systems.
Certified reference configurations follow a CPU-GPU-adapter-bandwidth naming pattern. PCIe Optimized 2-4-3-200 means two CPUs, four PCIe GPUs, three network adapters, and 200 Gb/s average network bandwidth. HGX 2-8-9-800 covers eight-GPU HGX B300 servers such as the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR680a V4, with nine adapters averaging 800 Gb/s. Buyers look up a system in NVIDIA's Qualified System Catalog, filtered by certified category. A qualified server has passed thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity checks, a prerequisite for certification. Independent software vendor (ISV) certification differs, since application developers set the criteria for a listed application, driver, and hardware combination.
Require an NVIDIA-Certified system when the deployment will run NVIDIA AI Enterprise, which NVIDIA supports on certified systems across bare metal, virtualized, and cloud deployments. For CAD or simulation seats, the application vendor's ISV list still decides the GPU and driver.
