RTX PRO

RTX PRO is Nvidia's brand for workstation and server GPUs, replacing the Quadro name and the RTX A-series and RTX Ada Generation cards that followed it. The silicon comes from the same architectures as GeForce, with a separate driver branch validated against professional applications, ECC on the memory, and much higher capacity. The line covers desktop workstation cards, lower-power Max-Q variants for compact chassis, and passive server cards for rack nodes.

The 6000 Blackwell carries 96 GB of GDDR7 with ECC, three times the 32 GB of non-ECC GDDR7 on a GeForce RTX 5090 built from the same GB202 die. Nvidia sells it in three forms. The workstation edition runs around 600 W. The Max-Q edition caps near 300 W for chassis with limited power and airflow, and the server edition is passively cooled for rack nodes. Ampere-generation professional cards supported NVLink for pairing two GPUs. Nvidia dropped that from the Ada generation onward, so these cards now talk over PCIe only.

Choose it over GeForce when a certified driver is a support requirement, or when a dataset needs more VRAM than a consumer card carries. Without either, GeForce gives the same architecture for less.
